Self Reclamation: Samhain

In This Journey:

We're going to be riding the gates of Samhain, thinning the veils of our own decomposing stories and laying out a plate for our nearly dead parts. We're going to be making sacred ground from the dark loam of our lives, at this time of the year when stories soften and identities loosen. The turning here is quiet and preparatory, shaped by what is laid down and what is allowed to rest as the year shifts toward winter.

Whoever we were up until this moment is invited to recline at the bonfire and be heard. Whoever we'll be at the end of the journey is evidence of what we have integrated and transformed.

For this journey you could considering lighting a new candle, setting a literal plate out for your own self, spending time with the altar of your ancestors beforehand if it's a part of your practice. As the veil thins, we come to the the true new year, our preparation for winter and ensuring the village survives. If some sort of ritual or intention for this meditation feels important to you I hope you lean into it.
